Carrylift has committed to a five year partnership with the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity, the Woodland Trust.  We can provide your business with an option to lock up and store the carbon emissions of all new LPG forklift trucks, by planting thousands of trees. 

How it works:

The LPG trucks are more environmentally friendly because they are fuelled by a low carbon emitting hydrocarbon gas and have a closed loop 3-way catalytic converter, which reduces harmful emissions by 99%. What residual emissions remain are being locked up through tree planting for the life-time of the trucks.

What will be achieved:

• The neutralising of the residual carbon emissions from all Carrylift’s LPG trucks by planting trees.
• A minimum of 21.6 acres of new native woodland being planted each year in some of the charity’s 1,000 UK woods.
• In total these trees will lock up and store more than 3,400 tonnes of CO₂ each year, which would otherwise pollute the atmosphere and contribute towards global warming.

Global warming is the biggest threat to all of us. Trees are the green lungs of the planet which lock up and store CO₂, which would otherwise leak into the atmosphere and contribute towards climate change. 

The charity’s Woodland Carbon scheme is more than an offset as it not only mitigates the carbon emissions of the trucks through tree planting but will also enhance the natural environment for people living throughout the UK.
